I suspect it isn’t in scope because it’s far from only girls being victims.
I dont really see an issues with violence and sexual exploitation having distinct strategies.
I would assume its not because child = both boys and girls so its not fitting to be under the same scope as the VAWG
Good; boys deserve the protection of the law as well as girls.
Why isn’t there „“shock and anger“ that strategies for dealing with the abuse and exploitation of children don’t also cover attacks on adult women?
For a strategy to be effective in dealing with an issue, it needs to be clearly focused. This particular strategy is being developed to deal with the kinds of violence that aren’t included in child abuse and exploitation. The people expressing „shock and anger“ seem unable to comprehend that it is possible to have more than one strategy (or set of strategies).
Save the Whales doesn’t mean Fuck the Dolphins. They can be part of a different strategy and aproach as long as it’s handled properly, this is a non-story.
