      I imagine like 98% of the people that love the national guard decisions have never lived in a real city before. They have no context of the crime numbers being shared.

      Basically what they are doing is throwing the national guard into places in the city where the only real crime is property crime like smashing parked car windows which is something no city will ever solve without some cop parked on every block non stop

      Everyone I personally know that approves of this thinks they would die if they stepped foot in Chicago. There version of living in the city is living in the suburbs outside of a big one

      Local radio is reporting that last night the police setup a checkpoint to check for seatbelt and equipment violations. Some agents were masked. Oh yeah, this is going to cut down on violent crime in DC. Fucking fascists. Trump is trying his best to spark civil unrest.

      I live in LA. I saw the military guarding federal buildings. They were incredibly bored and then they left because there was nothing to do. It was all a colossal waste of money and resources.

      Here’s an idea: we organize a citizens version of ICE that targets MAGA reps of all levels. We mask up and then we snatch em up off the street and take them to some holding stations and refuse to tell anyone where they are. We can do this until the Republican Party gets the strong message that they should “self deport” out of government.
