Ich habe kürzlich eine Antwort auf WG-GEWUsnd für eine private Wohnung erhalten, die Wohnung ist hübsch, gut eingerichtet und schön ausgestattet. Es ist zu gut, um wahr zu sein, und für die erwähnte Miete ist es im Vergleich zu anderen Auflistungen, die ich bisher gesehen habe, vernünftig. Ich weiß nicht, wie ich dem vertrauen soll, da das Foto gut ist, kann aber auch falsch sein. Aber die Art, wie sie Dinge erwähnt hat, sieht es legitim aus. Ich würde immer noch gerne einige Meinung dazu wissen, wenn möglich. Danke

It’s 100% a scam. German landlords are not nice and they do not accommodate you like this. The biggest tell is you can have it furnished or unfurnished. No landlord would be willing to just move all the furniture out for you.
Imo just ask if it’s available for a viewing even if you can’t manage to go. If they tell you stories it’s likely a scam
I mean you can continue the conversation until the part about when to transfer comes up. No money until you moved in with a key given inside the apartment.
It’s rare that people use lawyer just for a rental contract, tho.

Yes, it’s a scam. Leases that can be „extended“ are not legally possible in Germany. No landlord lets you choose between furnished and unfurnished housing, and no private landlord lets a lawyer „draw up a contract“. There are pre-made contracts where you can just fill in the name.
No apartment that you have not seen in person should be assumed to exist, nor should any landlord whom (or their representative) you have not met.
