This guy is going to set a record for how quickly someone’s political career can unravel.

The guy hasn’t even had his press conference yet announcing his bid, and I wonder is he alraedy regretting the decision. Seems like the press are really digging into him with gusto.

I wonder if this lads campaign will last out the full week. We’re going from „pharma tycoon“ to what increasingly smells more similar to Elizabeth Holmes than to Robert Langer.
If I were a shareholder in his company I’d not be happy with how the scrutiny of him is shaking out, regardless of how much I believed in the company or the tech. What is the tech again?
Plus I think there’s a story from The Ditch re Israel, and a story from the Examiner re his mother submitting an objection to a housing development allegedly on behalf of her employer. So we’re up to at least 5 less-than-positive stories and the campaign is barely a week old, and a press conference hasn’t even been held.
Yesterday, I was pretty annoyed at the degree of coverage this chancer is getting. Now I’m mildly amused.

He keeps on giving so far, a bit of craic before the real Presidential Race gets going.

The knives are out for him but he has Sharon Keoghan backing him like a lamprey . The minute I heard she was supporting him the whole thing was going to crash and burn. This will fall apart like Dana’s hilarious attempt

This guy is clearly only „running“ for the attention for his businesses, and judging by the reaction, mission accomplished. „No such thing as bad publicity.“ So true.

I don’t understand why this person even wants to be president.
Nobody knows who he is, so there’s virtually no chance he wins. Plus, the job has very little actual power, if he’s interested in politics, why not run to be a TD or something?

He’ll be fine. Corruption and dodgy business links all part of the relentless drive to make it in business. In fact, in a few months he’ll be roundly celebrated.
He’ll hammer the ‚entrepreneur‘ mantra a few times and social media will go into a spasm. Then everyone who criticises him will be labelled woke.
This strategy works….it even provides cover for rape

So he makes misleading statements. Sounds abit like his Virigin media interview yesterday

Every presidential election there’s always some „businessman“ gobshite who thinks that because they made money they should get the job. And every single election they’re proven to be a chancer.

Ah they cud have given him a bit of a run at it and let him talk the idiocracy into putting him at the top of the polls before tearing him down at the last hurdle. Gutted for the craic we’ll miss out on now.

So we did get a third story within 36 hours, [as I wondered yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/ireland/comments/1mpg176/comment/n8j8sl0/).
