So the guy whose only foray into the arts is hosting a crappy reality show wants to name this prestigious institution after himself? I mean, I’m not even surprised at this point.

For a self proclaimed billionaire it’s pretty odd that there are no buildings named after him due to charitable giving. No hospitals in New York, museum wings, academic buildings at Penn, etc. Only things named for him are his own buildings and the ones where he licensed his named to other developers. Of course he wants the Kennedy Center – he won’t be paying for it.
I cannot overstate how much I despise this clown.

god i wish pride and ego wasn’t central to these people. i don’t ever felt like ive needed something named after me. and to be remembered is enough for these shitstains. the ideas george washington had live on. why rename things that already exist after yourself? other then to be self-congratulatory. why do people think that this is the making of a great man? to tear down already existing things and use that to inflate yourself.

The Kennedy center was named after a great politician/political family.
To rename it after a great criminal politician would be a travesty not a fantasy.
