Als ausländischer Tourist müssen Sie sich für jede Unterkunft, zu der Sie gehen, auf der Polizeistation registrieren. Wenn Sie in einem Airbnb sind, ist es ärgerlich, weil Sie mit dem Besitzer gehen müssen, um das zu zeigen "Mietvertrag" + Sie unterschreibt ein Dokument in Ihrem Namen oder SMTH.
Warum müssen wir uns registrieren? Und müssen Mazedonier das auch tun, wenn sie innerhalb des Landes reisen?
Ich habe immer noch nicht verstanden, ob ich das jedes Mal tun musste, wenn ich die Plätze wechsle, oder nur, wenn ich mehr als 48 Stunden bleibe. Man könnte sich jeden Tag verändern und keinen dieser Papierkram erledigen. Und was ist, wenn Sie in den Bergen campen, fragen Sie sich, was die Regel ist.
Ich erinnere mich, dass Sie in Usbekistan aufgrund potenzieller terroristischer Angriffe täglich im Hotel täglich nach dem Erwerbsbeleg bitten müssen. Aber ich frage mich, was hier in MKD der Zweck ist. Der Besitzer sagte mir, es sei angeblich nur für Statistiken. Es scheint eine sehr umständliche Art zu sein, Statistiken imho zu machen. Und wenn Sie dieses Papier nicht beim Zoll haben, können Sie eine Geldstrafe bekommen. Aber wieder konnte mir niemand sagen, dass es sicher oder die Geldbuße der Geldstrafe ist

Every person needs to update their place of stay. Even temporary ones. AFIK you can also do it online.
This is needed in most countries around the world and usually the place of stay sorts that out for you. When you go to any hotel/accommodation you give your Passport/Id with which they log you in their “book of stays” and report your new location to the police.
I’m sure this is not related to Macedonia only, I have to register everywhere I go as well (Austria, Serbia, Germany, Greece etc) .. usually we are „protected/ignorant“ of this because the accommodation is the one that is doing it in the background. Even for Serbia (I have private accommodations with family) I don’t have to go the police station for example, just my mother in law goes and fills in the details that I’m staying there with my passport info.
Not sure whey they asked you to go there with the host.

and yes by law even Macedonians if they change where they live, for example move to another town etc, they need to sign off from the old place and report in the new place police station .. in practice though I guess lots are not bothered with this
and on on my travels so far no one has asked me for proof at the borders as well ..
When you go to the US on a B1/B2 visa you have to first get approved for a visa,then when you arrive the officer will have to look into your return ticket,your accomodation,money you have and other stuff. It is a standard procedure for every country. Just a little diffrent.
