Here’s a story for the many holocaust revisionists i see in this sub:
In early 1944 Germany is cooked and they know it. The entire military leadership knows the war is lost and even Hitler in his lucid periods must have known. Delusional or not they can see the lines on the map steadily being pushed out of russia and towards Germany.
In this time of crisis Hitler takes badly needed troops out of the line and sends them to occupy hungary. Hungary is already a vassal of Germany at that point and there’s no military reason to occupy it. But he wanted the Jews. He sent divisions that were needed on the front to Hungary to get as many jews as possible and send them to concentration camps.
Even as it all fell down around him he remained obsessed with exterminating every single Jewish person he could get his hands on.
Maybe in the 20s he wanted to send them to Africa IDK.
