      Mehhh we cant complain, our governments would rather play virtue cards then to sort this else out , stay tuned as we dump billions into Chinas economy with out any trade concessions so we can avoid being seen in a room with any Chinese diplomat.

      Also will just continue letting America take all the jobs and pay middle man cuts so we can buy our Chinese products from America to make ourselves feel better about not supporting China 😉.

      We’ll still be driving Dodge Chargers in 2125. There will be one guy still working in the auto industry who rivets the „Made in Canada“ plate onto the coal burner.

      I think this is a perfect example of a situation that contributes to western alienation.
      1. Canada puts large duty on Chinese EV’s to support Ontario manufacturing.
      2. China puts tariffs on Canola – hurting only western Canada.

      Should just allow BYD in to give Canadians the option to purchase cheaper vehicles. Base model BYD is 15k Canadian. Very affordable in comparison to what we are stuck with currently. This helps with cost of living and affordability. 
      Didn’t the government a year or two ago invest 2 billion in tax payer money to an EV plant in Ontario that then decided to build trucks or something ? And isn’t the global goal to reduce emissions, seems letting them in can have multiple advantages outside of just affordability.

      Economic extortion is so overdone. On the other hand, I am hoping the farmers can grow something other than canola.

      I think it’s interesting to see that Canada has been in the tariff game the whole time, while the government and the media play victim.
