>“That was what we call in the business batshit crazy,” he said. “It was everything you would expect a Quentin Tarantino ‘Star Trek’ script to be.”

>Pegg added that he personally would’ve enjoyed seeing the world of “Star Trek” through the eyes of the “Pulp Fiction” director, but diehard fans of the franchise might have felt differently.

>“I think it would have been such an incredible sort of curio to see ‘Star Trek’ through his lens,” Pegg said. “I don’t know how it would have gone over with the fans, but it certainly would have been an interesting thing.”

I remember some blog was railing against the idea of a Tarantino Star Trek, while at the same time glazing Discovery — the Star Trek show with swearing and literal rape.

I honestly would be very interested in seeing how Tarantino would do either sci-fi (Star Trek) or fantasy. We had a lot of violent/sexy fantasy films in the 1980’s and it’s a genre I think is worth considering for a Tarantino project.
