      Asked about Mr Zelensky wanting to attend, Mr Trump added: “I would say he could go, but he’s gone to a lot of meetings, he’s been there for three and a half years and nothing happened.”

      Donald must think Putin is a fool, that he is going to tell him to end it and he’d do it without major concessions. Concessions that Donald is going to try and give without Zelenksy on the table.

      Short version: this meeting is pointless and performative.

      The deal should be:

      Recognition of currently held territories as Russian, and the rest of Ukraine immediately enters NATO. Do not pass go, go directly to Brussels and add your flag.

      The west needs to turn and fight somewhere, this is where the line is drawn

      If that prevents a deal, then there shouldn’t be a deal.
