      Just so we don’t leave the Spanish alone in the heatwave, we’ll accompany you. I haven’t seen rain for almost two months in Toulouse.

      I’m not talking about the state of my garden for the past month and a half, just the pomegranate tree, olive tree and the fig tree having fun.

      So the problem with our land it’s clay, it swells and shrinks with water. It makes cracks in houses because of the drought. It’s like in the desert, crevices in the earth, some you run your hand through.

      I left countryside France 10 years ago and often mention I cannot go back because I am too sensitive to heat and that the place I grew up went from sbowy winters and warm summers to cool winters and constant heat wave. Today is the fifth period above 35 degrees my brother is witnessing.

      Oh and France hurts itself in confusion if you mention AC.

      I cry for them from my fjord. I wish I could visit or even go back. But I cannot work in a place where I am uncomfortable 6/12 months and struggling to survive for 3-4 months a year.

      Already starting to cool down here in the north of europe, at night it hits like 12 celsius and at daytime 25-ish celsius,
      Last month was like an easy bake oven though, got to experience tropical heat without going abroad.

      I had an offer from a University in Toulouse, but I declined it after I saw the climate diagram on the Wikipedia page of the city of Toulouse.

      I live in Brittany, Côtes d’Armor, 5 km from the coast. It’s 17:00 and we’ve got a nice 25°C and some wind. Bliss.

      I work in Bordeaux, went out for a cigaret brake one hour ago, the wind was hot. Not even kidding.

      It literally gets worse every year and still our Governments do nothing. But hey, I’m drinking out of paper straws now so why isn’t it cooler???
