At the same time, he was the mastermind behind a world wide crime syndicate so proficient that there is no evidence of it ever happening.
There are plenty of reasons trump should be in jail, his base either didn’t care about them or brushed them off as lies. This is just the first one that seems to have any traction among his fanatics (which, to be clear, *should not matter* when it comes to the law because the lie that our legal system is founded on is that justice will be fair and impartial).
If he goes down for this it’ll be like Capone going down for tax evasion: should have happened sooner and should have been for something else but at least we got there in the end.
