Two parts to this problem for Trump and his retinue. The first is the obvious: Trump and Epstein were close and shared a thing for younger females. Too many people saw them partying together for Trump to deny the relationship.
Second, Trump’s vast and largely undeserved ego won’t let him admit or apologize for anything. I truly believe his attitude is, „Yeah, I was a bad boy. So what? Whatcha gonna do about it? I’m Donald Trump. I get away with everything!“

There isn’t really much more to report. The news cycle is moving on without getting any kind of closure over this.

It is right on brand for him to up the ante as none of his earlier ploys have worked. Do not fall for this latest ploy – keep calling for release of the files.
