I feel like the obvious response from the US would be, „which half?“ Don’t break eye contact.
If the USA can allow their soil to be used to make such statements against India, than India needs to review its relationship with the USA.
And if push comes to shove, it makes me wonder if the 123 agreement that India signed in 2005 can be justified anymore. It is the sole reason India has yet to go thermonuclear.
