Hallo zusammen, hat jemand bemerkt, dass seine erstellten Wiedergabelisten einige hebräische Songs hinzugefügt haben? Mein gewohntes Genre wäre R & B und Tanz, vielleicht mit einer Spritzel von Reggaeton. Ich habe vor kurzem Kniescheibe gehört, also bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob es sich um eine zufällige Spotify -Vergeltung 🤣 handelt.

very possibly a lot of Israelis listening to Kneecap out of pure curiosity and algorithm then matching the two. But I do prefer the idea of manipulation.

I’m surprised that they have relatively few Spotify monthly listeners (1.4 million) considering their media profile and endless coverage they receive particularly over the past 6 months or so.

Lately, I’ve been telling my Alexa in the shed to play Palestinian songs. Then turning the volume down and locking up the shed, leaving it run all day and night. I know the money raised for the artists is shit, but it isn’t about that. I’m just happy to push Palestinian songs up in the ratings.
I’d say spotifys algorithm is just getting confused. A lot of Israelis are listening to kneecap to know who they are and Spotify is simply seeing it as “people who listen to x also listen to y”.
The way to look at this imo is, kneecap are in the general Israeli public’s head
