Climate change will never stop as long as the Sun is existent.

I think it’s (a) too late to stop the catastrophe and (b) rich people rather start building bunkers then trying to stop the causes of global warming.
So, welcome to the apocalypse!

I have zero expectation that people are smart enough to mitigate climate change.

Uh, it hasn’t really started yet. Geen house gas emissions are still increasing. The increase may even still be accelerating.

There is one way to stop climate change and that is by legislation.
But no government wants to bring out the legislation needed. The responsibility has never been the peoples, even if they very much wants us to believe that, but rather the companies.
As long as the companies don’t have a stick hanging over their heads they will never EVER make a decision that affects their bottom line even if that decision is needed to save the environment.
But the main problem is you cant have 195 countries that go their own way with their own agenda. The top 10 countries by emission are responsible for 68,8% of the world emissions and the top 5 are responsible for 60,24%.

Our species recovered from being an estimated 1280 individuals once; I bet the rich cunts believe they can survive the mass extinction event.

Just an reminder that climate change is not an yes or no situation. Every 0.0001 decree counts. It’s going to be bad, but actions still matter. An doomers mindset does not help anyone.
nobody seems to care and with the rightwing populism on the rise we’re more likely to enter in accelerationist period

The “CO2 per capita” has shown a nice steady decrease in the 2000s, except for china although with a much moderate increase in the last years. The problem is the US and it’s gonna get worse with their current administration. https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/co-emissions-per-capita?time=1984..latest&country=USA~OWID_EU27~CHN~IND~JPN~FRA~DEU
