Something always infuriates me about Americans commenting on a conflict they just learned about and have no clue on to suit their political needs

Yesterday – for the first time in years – both r/Armenia and r/Azerbaijan were united in optimism that _maybe_ things would get better. That _maybe_ we wouldn’t have to have more conflict and hatred.
Then the very next day we’re back to agenda posting, with people in the comments saying:
“I hope one day our people will respond to those bastards”
Can’t we please leave braindead American bait at the door? Can’t we at least **try** to move forward before we all fall back into hatred and violence?
This cycle is never, ever going to end unless both sides _at least_ agree that we’ve both done terrible horrific things – and, more importantly – that **we don’t want to keep doing them to one another**.

You know you can write to the editor-in-chief of the newspaper and ask for correction. They fact-checkers in their staff and take false reporting seriously.
