Yep. Even in my district the teachers are now being called upon to check the classrooms and bathrooms etc for items that don’t belong. You’re not allowed to take Smartphone pics anymore and you’re not allowed to be 1 on 1 with a student anymore. Either call someone else in or have the meeting in an open space.
Kind of a shame the punishments aren’t harsh enough for certain types of crime.

You can find countless cameras like this on Amazon. Most of them are made in China. While they’re ostensibly sold for recording evidence of crimes, it’s obvious they’re intended for criminal use. Amazon should be regulated immediately.
