The IT does not full disclose the commercial relationships they have with EY, the accountants who are up to their pin striped bollox in suspected corrupt auditing cases all over the shop so, you can take that with a pinch of cynicism.
Havent we a floating lng terminal on the way….With irelands ridiculous detailed planning, the ship is a way of expediting it..
Any chance of asking the experts in GNI and EirGird instead of mercs like EY?
What an incredibly boring article. No mention of the gas storage we had and closed, no mention of the gas storage we have abroad, no mention of our strategic reserves, no mention of the FLNG ship previously announced.
It just seems to be a bunch of waffle to get EY into a headline
The power outage in Spain was caused by failure to keep enough inertial power sources running on the grid, and a failure of some of those contracted sources to actually perform as contracted when they were required to.
It had absolutely nothing to do with a lack of available power sources, or „running out“ of anything.
Ireland has already reviewed the position with regard to gas and is in the process of contracting a floating LNG terminal which will moor at Shannon and provide emergency cover in the event of a loss of the gas link to the UK. This will be able to provide gas from stored reserves if needed in an emergency, but will not otherwise import gas cargoes.
What happened to the Kinsale field and platforms. They were pumping gas into it every summer years ago
