We can’t have nice things in Ireland. There is always someone just dying to destroy it.
River Shannon, Limerick City, best river.
Our connection with the Liffey in Dublin is so broken. There are still sections where the footpath isn’t even wide enough to walk on. Some improvements in recent years though.
More seating for shams, HUZZAH

Though I remember it being quite narrow, could’ve been a canal
Pretty much every Irish town or city does a bad job with its waterfront. Even tourist places like Kinsale and Dingle squander their spaces.
Waterford probably does the worst though.
Yeah because we don’t elect politicians who wish to build infrastructure in any shape or form, and when something attractive is proposed, it’s written off as a ‘vanity project’ by half the population.
You can add the Shannon in Limerick to that list
Always wondered why there is no effort made to clean up the Liffey
Drogheda has the worst
Bilbao does a great job with their river seeing as how they transitioned from an industrial city.
