Military jets from Russia, such as the SU-30MKI, S-400 and India imports a lot of energy from Russia. Outside that it doesn’t compare to manufacturing exports to the US. How many iPhones can be shipped to the US annually? Let alone the over all tech sector. Russia is a small player when it comes to Indian jobs for the US market.
The irony in that Trump can attribute more deals between former trade partners then he can with trade partners as a result of his tariffs!

India deciding to ally with Russia who has been losing allies throughout their disgusting war campaign in Ukraine is certainly a decision. Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Syria. China and them abandoned Iran and sat on their hands when the US and Israel ripped them a new one.
Trusting the Russians not to stab you in the back the first chance they see benefit in it for them is a bold move, I am sure that will never go bad.
