I actually think this is good for the CPC, but I know damn well her fingers will still be in there. She will never fully leave a Poilievre-led CPC.

Given how she never held a role outside of „senior advisor“ prior to the campaign, I’m not sure if this means much. She will still be second in command, and that’s what she used when she decided to meddle in nominations or attack PC politicians. Formal role is irrelevant when she has the job of enforcer.

It’s quite a thing to get shitcanned and then assert that you did nothing wrong. If only she’d ever had a real job she might know that that kind of talk doesn’t fly in your next interview.

What was it baiting, Jenny? What about talking about Trump would have baited something out of you? And what the hell do you mean you don’t know what you’d say every day? Disavow him! Loudly! Explicitly! Repeatedly! That’s *why* you lost. People didn’t believe Poilievre was actually opposed to Trump.

Maybe… just maybe… it’s because you were entirely unable to shift messaging to address Trump. Maybe it’s because you personally did your best to cause the NDP collapse. Maybe it’s because no one believed that you and your ex had any quarrel with Trump and your continual refusal to confront that fact has only solidified it. Those are a few itsy bitsy reasons why you might be blamed.

Welp. We’ll see if this indicates some self awareness from Poilievre, but from Byrne’s perspective she’s holding onto her did nothing wrong it’s all the woke Liberals schtick.

Does she just leave this last election off her CV? Otherwise what does she write?
