And this is why it’s futile to negotiate with this clown: he believes in medieval-style monetarism, the power of governments to just decree economies nilly-willy, and isn’t accountable in any shape or form or beholden to any agreement, even that made by himself.
Sad thing is he might beleive it and Im not sure how much the US bases in Okinawa would be impacted if he tried to bill the Japanese government.
Its it a very strange world we live in where Japan might need more than the JSDF.
