      End of the day the US companies in Ireland save millions in taxes by being located here, their CEO’s and directors probably funnel their profit into Swiss or camen bank accounts to hide from US taxman.

      Money talks and I don’t see the US causing trouble for their billionairs by sanctioning us

      I think it only fair that all those so gung-ho for the introduction of this virtue signalling nonsense of a bill should the first to accept unemployment falling out of any economic consequences of this bill or probably more relevant be the first to accept benefit cuts. As bad an example of economic and geopolitical self harm as u can get and no surprise as ever driven by the permanent opposition on the left ….

      Here’s the issue. 2 bills in the US make it law for US companies to not do business in/with countries who pass bills that are seen as anti-Israeli. In particular the anti settlement bills. HR 867 and HR3016. They haven’t really been enforced as of yet so this could be the first time the opportunity arises. The big thing here is the amount of US multinationals in Ireland and this could turn into a Trump trying to look tough thing. He’s already pushing hard to avoid Epstein files stuff. And this would be a massive distraction. Cook was in the White House the other day celebrating the proposed build of a new Apple manufacturing plant in Tennessee, ground to break this year. Things could easily get messy.

      Slovenia just passed similar legislation. Last time I checked, the world hasn’t ended for them.

      More countries will follow with similar policies as well.

      I’ve always had a jaundiced view of the US but in recent years I’ve come to see it as a country with no saving graces at all. Corrupt and cruel to its core. I hope we move away from economic dependence on that cesspit.

      We never should be reliant on what country when it comes to investment because you get this, countries throwing they’re weight around.

      You need to play them at their game, they threaten to reduce or withdraw investment, then you say fine and call China, the U.S. doesn’t want China to get more influence so would be more hesitant in the future

      Fox News did a segment this week highlighting the increasing crime, particularly in Dublin. When you look at the statistics they provided they don’t hold any water and are basically misconstrued 💩💩💩.

      I think they compared today’s crime against crime from 2003 to sound like it’s gotten a million times worse. This I fear is backlash from supporting Palestine. Israel is putting pressure on the right people and going to try and sway people against coming to Ireland or supporting us or siding with us. It’s slow to start now but it will increase in time
