He just wants to win the Nobel Prize to save his reputation. He once thought he could easily end the Russo-Ukrainian war and force all countries to submit to the United States with tariffs. A month ago, he thought he could stop Bibi from bombing Julani. All of this was burst like a bubble. Now he thinks he can easily end the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. I’m not against peace, but both Armenia and Azerbaijan are massively expanding their military. Both sides are verbally calling for peace, but their actions show no trust at all. It’s hard to believe that Trump’s performance will have any substantial results.

I don’t see how this could hurt us, just a show for Trump to appear as a peacemaker

    5. Trump just wants an easy achievement to soften the fact he is turning the US into a pariah state and will go down as the most unpopular American leader in modern history. Again I’m disappointed not only in Azerbaijan but also Armenia for allowing another third party to take advantage and insert themselves for their own gain. This peace should be handled one on one without outside pressures trying to pursue their own interests. With Russia it was having us fight to keep us weak and dependent. Now with the US involved it’s part of their anti Iran and pro Israel spy ring operation especially given that they lost and are out of Afghanistan. Armenia cannot afford to piss Iran off as well or become a proxy for the US.

The stipulations of this are a trade route “managed” by the US and a US private security firm based on reports I’m reading…not sure how I feel about any of this but the positive sliver of light that I see is that the US is committed to this being managed by and under Armenian law respective of Armenian sovereign territory. We’ll see how this plays out but I’m fucking nervous.

I look forward to you meddling in the never-ending Shelbyville-Springfield conflict as well, Sir, for the children.

I look forward to hearing his obituary… and I am quite sure a lot of Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Viets, Mongolians, Burmese, Laotians, Siamese, Khmers, Malays, native Indonesians, Singaporeans, Filipinos, Tetums, Armenians, Kurds, Turks, Azeris, Yazidis, Assyrians, Arab Syrians, Balochis, Arab Iraqis, Persians, Palestinians, Ukrainians, Russians, and Georgians do so.

    10. Kindof Ironic

US instigated too many wars especially in the ME to be an effective mediator of peace….

Anyone who thinks that we will get along with AZ is delusional. Once this is ticked off Aliev’s list, he will just move to the next item on it and then the next. If the list gets exhausted, the Azeri’s will just make up new demands. You watch, one in particular will be monetary compensation. Pay up, or I’ll invade.

    12. I love his writing style, its pretty fun to read and the heaviness of the content (and his nOt sO ObViOuS goals) just emphasizes it

Weird how you guys scream daily for peace efforts but just because a president you don’t like is trying, you shit talk about it.

I bet if Biden has the same effort or plan it would be deemed okay?

    16. You can dislike Trump all you want (I do), but dismissing a peace deal just because his name is on it is shortsighted. What matters is whether the agreement actually improves Armenia’s position and stability. If it does, we should welcome USA and its president involvment
