I honestly don’t get all the hate Cameron gets for the Avatar Movies, personally I really like them and want to see more of the world they have created.
They are a fun ride everytime and they don’t claim to be anything else. The message as basic as it might be is still a good one.
But even if you absolutely hate these movies…Who cares what Cameron does? What is it to you?
I do wish he would someday use the tech from Avatar to give us a new Aliens or Terminator movie, but The man has been doing blockbusters his whole life, let him do whatever he wants.
This is the bs PR excuse he made after the fact that he spent 20 years trying to make money from the blue alien movies
But the money helps though.
It makes me sad that this talented man directed films like Terminator, True Lies, Titanic – truly fantastic pieces of cinema.
And now…he only wants to make Avitars. I mean, the man can do whatever he wants with his career but we are all left wanting when James Cameron insists on expanding the landfill that is the Avitar Universe. It’s a shame.
He’s wasted on these. I feel they’re just a mess of cgi and derivative story lines. Like seriously, who gives a fuck?? The first one – ok, it’s Pocahontas with some incredible visuals. Like everybody, I saw it and was adequately entertained. But now? Been there, done that. Just move on, dude!

Hey here’s an idea. He can personally fund a ton of good research and development to fix things instead of a preachy pretentious but technically beautiful movie.

Nobody even remembered the movie until he started making the second one- it was totally forgettable
