Hallo zusammen,
Ich ließ mich überrascht von einem Blitzer in der Günterstalstrasse in Freiiburg/Breisgau in die Richtung, die Schauinsland – Freiburg (Geschwindigkeitsgrenze von 30 km/h). Mein Tachometer zeigte 40 km/h, so dass ich sofort langsamer wurde.
Ich habe weder Blitz noch ein besonderes Licht gesehen. Bin ich aus dem Wald oder funktioniert diese Art von Blitzer (die ziemlich neu zu sein scheint) anders?
(Ich sollte darauf hinweisen, dass ich sehr respektvoll gegenüber Geschwindigkeitsgrenzen bin, aber hier war ich wirklich überrascht)

Some blitzers do and some don’t. This one usually does but I think if there’s enough ambient light they dont

In contrast to, like, Italy, in Germany you’ll always know when you’re about to get an expensive little love letter.
So, sounds like you’re good. There’s no way one doesn’t see that nasty red flash.
What your speedo shows is about 2-5km/h off at that speed and the Blitzer also has some additional headroom, probably something around 32km/h to trap. So even if you’d be looking at a maximum of 6km/h over. It’s all rough math but you probably weren’t going fast enough to trip it anyway.
Blitzers in Germany flash. Quite brightly, too. If you’re not sure, it usually means it hasn’t caught you.
The only exception is Blitzers in tunnels, where often invisible infrared light is used.
Most of the time, yes. They’ll typically do a visible red flash. Some use infrared flashes though.
Prof it by a second run and film it with your smartphone /s
They won’t catch you with 40 in 30. relax.
