I wonder if this has to do with how Jagmeet recruited members for the party. As in got people in to do the vote but didn’t do anything to keep them around.
Is this the beginning of the final circling the drain, close the lights and lock the door, it’s over for the NDP?
The article uses 2015 as the benchmark, which is a misleading choice imo, as that election is very much an outlier. I would have liked to see pre-2015 fundraising in the analysis.
I think it’s more accurate to say their donations are stagnant. The last two elections were pretty much the same and are consistent with pre-2015 trends.
I’d love to vote for real democratic socialists federally, but if the NDP are going to act more like socially progressive neolibs then I’ll just vote for the other socially progressive neolibs (the LPC) because at least they can beat the Conservatives.
This is crazy to me. It was because of the power they had as 3rd party last government that the NDP was able to get implemented (at least in part) all of the things they wanted. Politics doesn’t seem fair sometimes.

These articles are getting ridiculous. Everytime headlines claim the NDP is beyond salvage, when clearly it’s based on speculation.
