Remember when western governments and media called Miles Guo a brave Chinese dissident and activist for „standing up to the Chinese government“ because he had beef with them and ran away to the US?
Seems like now the media is trying to wash their hands of him by calling him a „Chinese billionaire“ whenever he’s linked to shady shit in order to still spin it to blame China.
If you’re an enemy of the United States, the most damaging thing that you can do is to de-institutionalize the United States, the rest of the West and cut ties between countries with these formerly shared institutions.
The entire „free world“ has been bathing in a sea of anti-intellectual, anti-institutional, anti-cooperative propaganda for most of a generation now. It’s not an accident. Bad actors like China and Russia are actively engaged in a plan to weaken our institutions, weaken our ties to one another and debase the international order.
Sadly, throughout the West they have found allies and useful idiots among fascists, racists and opportunists. The entire infrastructure of MAGA and its analogues around the world is buttressed by this type of corruption and foreign influence.
