I’m fine with Japan importing the F-150 in principle, it’s a capable vehicle in the right work environment. Maybe a few American car enthusiasts will get them too. But between its width, lack of dealer network & parts, and LHD-only, it’s going to find a very very very limited market.
Plus the cost is going to be a big challenge…. Ford’s CEO recently said that because of labour costs and tariffs on imported parts, it still costs more to make a comparable vehicle in the USA than in Japan. One number he gave was that the Bronco costs $10,000 more to make than a 4Runner.
There no market for these.
This monstrosity is going to sell like shit.

If modified into a ulitity/work truck, it’s great. Something like utility repair in rural areas where offroad capability is required makes sense. Nobody except a complete dumbass is buying these for everyday use.
In American I drive my f150. In Japan I drive my kei truck
Japanese don’t necessarily want huge monstrosity like Americans want in their personal transportation.
Some of their roads are so small only kei-car will fit.
They are peddling their waste of steel to the country that begot *THE* AK-74 of light (and at times armed) trucks…
Now that’s some real hubris out there… It’s so stupid that it’s even endearing to a degree.
