Okay folks. Here’s something to read:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

      Knowledge is power.

    3. Given that it’s only the annotated Constitution page (and no other government page with the Constitution seems modified) and it ends with a semicolon, until something shows otherwise or other pages start having the sections disappear, I feel like this is most likely the case of someone botching updating something on the page rather than actual malfeasance.

They can’t just delete it and pretend it doesn’t exist. If they do then our democracy is truly doomed and all law and order is meaningless

    5. I_HateToSayAtodaso on

The party of „We the people“ bumper stickers don’t actually respect the constitution? Who could have known?

    6. Same_Set8195 on

They want to brutalize, bomb, massacre and torture their own citizens because „Might makes Right is Law“ just as the same way of terrorizing and battering their spouses and family at home, got it.

    7. blkcatplnet on

Do they think it’s that easy to make a constitutional amendment? Im quite certain we have several backups of that information in a few places..

    8. Wow, they deleted it AND theyre protecting a fascist pedophile named Trump who was close friends with Epstein.  What a coincidence.

    9. TemporalColdWarrior on

In before Alito issues an opinion that the original intent of the Constitution is whatever is posted on the White House website.

    10. EscapedTheEcho on

Do they not understand how the internet works and that there are hard copies of the document everywhere? Do they think no one has read the Constitution since 1787 and will therefore never notice changes? Is this some MAGA attempt at amending the Constitution of the United States?

What is the point of this?

    11. LatterLiterature8001 on

Library of Congress has acknowledged, offered a lame excuse, and is restoring the missing parts.

    12. In the book Animal Farm the pigs (ruling class) removed laws firm the barn wall until only one remained and was modified…..

They now have a banner saying there are data issues on the site. I’m not sure if true or they know they were caught and had to put something up.

    14. This is what happens when half the country goes full maga – never go full maga. You’ll end up with a government in shambles, unaffordable living conditions, mass layoffs, corruption, suspension of the constitution, rampant anti-intellectualism, attacks on the equal separation of powers, an escalation of wealth disparity, veterans fucked over, farmers without workers, massive stocks of food and contraceptives destroyed when they should be going to help/aid disadvantaged people, millions losing health care, etc.

    15. Nobody_Super_Famous on

Do they think that this is the same as repealing it?

I mean it’s so dumb that I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the answer is yes.

    16. manbeardawg on

The website now has a note saying it’s a “coding error.” Sure, Bob…

    17. Verniethespectacular on

This feels like that scene with the pigs in Animal Farm where they’re caught painting over the rules on the wall.

    18. Deleting someone from a website doesn’t remove it from law. But it’s a really dumb move to think legal professionals aren’t going to notice.

    19. I don’t think that’s how constitutional amendments are supposed to work.

„LOL. You think you have the right to a trail? We deleted that section of the constitution from our website last week, loser!!!“ — Trump Admin

    20. AdventurousSeaSlug on

This is terrifying. Clearly the table is being set for something. Americans better figure out fast what exactly it is that they stand for. Not their parents, not their great great grandparents but they themselves personally. Americans – do you believe in democracy and freedom? The time is coming when we will all have to chose.

    21. As if you can white out parts of a digital copy of the constitution and claim it as law lol

    22. ChefCurryYumYum on

There are so many Americans today who somehow still think it’s just business as usual in the US.

    23. DeathKringle on

lol this news is missing from conservative sections.

If they are not outraged then I can no longer consider them real conservatives or real republicans. At minimum regardless of who you support as a conservative or republican. This violation and r*pe of the constitution is unacceptable and incompatible with being a conservative or republican.

Modification of the constitution without an amendment violates the absolute core tenants of conservatives and republicans.

Refusal to accept that is admission you are no longer a conservative or a republican. Simply that

It’s impossible to defend removals of parts of the constitution without an amendment without being a fascist or communist dictator.

So defending this shit is admission you’re a commi or a nazi supporter and you piss on the graves of all soldiers who ever died to defend us against both.

    24. Hopefully Trump resigns in disgrace or gets removed at some point and he’ll be too butt hurt to pardon the thousands of traitors that have enabled him, so they can all be prosecuted for the treasonous crimes they’ve committed.

The confederacy, the Israelis, the smedley butler business plot, all this bullshit is just constantly and continuously allowed to happen without repercussion.

    25. merpixieblossomxo on

You cannot just delete things from the internet that you don’t like and pretend that it isn’t there anymore.

These things existed long before the internet, and they will continue to exist regardless of what a web page says. This is insane.

    26. StalinTheHedgehog on

Damnnn. You guys in the US are gonna be sending your kids to Trump Youth clubs soon for real

    27. indianajoes on

      This time last year

„Oh no. People on Reddit and YouTube are just exaggerating. Nothing like this would ever happen. They’re just obsessed with hating Trump. He’s just trying to save the country“

      What a fucking joke.
