Hey, OP, show how volumes of fossil fuels bought from russia changed per country in years.
Buying anything from russia now supports the war they are waging against Ukraine and Europe. Whataboutism here doesn’t help.

I know I am going to get downvotes for this, but what’s the point of these kinds of posts anymore? The Netherlands is the number 1 European country when it comes to trading and investing in Israel. Am I supposed to look at the numbers and point to China and judge them?

Thats… looks very wrong. If Turkey buying „oil products“, that mean what they are for EU, they don’t need them so much. And well known what Russian oil for India it’s also oil for EU.

We never wanted to stop Russian energy exports altogether. any attempt in that direction would just spike energy prices and so increase Russia’s profits.
Instead we opted for a method were the oil isn’t off the market, but Russia makes less money off of it, and so far it’s succeeded pretty wel.

Sad to see the EU is still basically funding Russia’s war on Ukraine
The EU numbers should be zero due to the whole embargos.

I’ve seen too many meaningless discussions and totally fed up with them. I understand that Europeans want to defend themselves by weakening Russia, but what I don’t understand is why you keep complaining others not helping you for free? Why not consider others‘ interest? It doesn’t matter where the Russian oil goes to. What really matters is where the profits of Russia’s oil come from. Therefore, Europe should try to lower the prices of Russian oil as much as possible, which is completely in line with the interests of India and China. The tears of the Ukrainians are the last thing that a sane foreign government should care, while a price alliance is a preferable offer.

If that’s the case then why haven’t Turkey been tariffed like India? Is there special exceptions for being NATO?

Trump is picking on India as a bully is wont to. Stats show the same crimes he alleges on India a bunch other countries have also been guilty of.
The trade talks with India failed so he is making noise to bully them as negotiation tactic. If Russian products and purchase of non sanctioned goods was such a crime us would be putting exemplary sanctions on everyone including itself.

Genuine question to Europe, in a scenario where the orange moron invades Canada or Greenland, would Europe cut off trade and military relations with the US? Will the Europeans declare war on the US or just bend the knee?

It takes an immense amount of resources from the EU to keep Ukraine supplied, the EU provided roughly 160 bln since 2022, the longer this goes on the more it costs us.
Since this loophole prolongs the Russian agression its certainly not a desired situation, or acceptable in the eyes of EU

Keep in mind that the EU isnt one country and legislation like this usually moves at the speed of an elderly snail with arthritis.
