How can you sue someone for something that was done 60-75 years ago? Are you suing them for the legal framework of that time or based on current legislations? Isn’t there a statute of limitation or something?

Not trying to legitimize what was done but considering how human societies change over decades, we are bound to do stuff that will be considered unacceptable more than half a century later.
