      Now? It is been 3 months since the elections, in Romania you become president after 1-2 weeks after the elections finish

      We’re surely gonna miss Duda.

      For the unequainted, he was basically pulled out of nowhere by the leader of the Law and Justice party, Kaczyński and marketed as the people’s president, that’s only SUPPORTED by PiS.

      He isn’t competent, he’s not intelligent, he isn’t fit for the job, has a sketchy past with being a pimp and a hooligan and only won because the opposing candidate fucked up the campaign in the last week of the election

      Now we’re going to have to have him represent us for 5 and possibly 10 years.

      I’m so fucking done with this shit

      That a PiS candidate won I could begrudgingly accept, I’ve long since gotten used to the criminal who just left the office so what’s another five years of roughly the same

      But that the current head is a guy who genuinely looked like he would lose a debate with his own poster, who doesn’t even want to address the more serious allegations, whose actions as National Remembrance chief showed the worst in Poles as a nation, who has been contributing to the return of hools as a danger after two decades

      It does make me want to place the black eagle on gold above the white-red in my inner hierarchy, I feel further and further apart from the Polish nation

      At this point we should abolish the institution of a President. It’s been two decades since we had anyone even resembling a leader, and even that guy brought us shame by being visibly drunk at some ceremonies. The president neither leads nor represents the country. In the last decade his only role was to obstruct the work of our government. And now we’re getting at least 5 more years of a Piss lackey at the helm.

      It’s all such a joke. How is anyone supposed to be proud about this country when nobody representing cares

      Extremely sad day for Poland. It’s not even about Nawrocki, it’s about voters. We’ve crossed another line. We are full blown idiocracy where critical thinking and holding politicians accountable does not exist anymore.

      If you wonder why he was elected, despite being a rather dull and unknown official with phd in political history, check the other replies.

      Liberal counter candidate had terrible staffers and decided to pretend to be a right winger along with smear campaign against Nawrocki that was so over the top that it backfired.

      Nawrocki is from poor working class background and was in fact a football hooligan, climbed up to academia, state service and finally candidacy – at which point all the stereotypical establishment types called him unfit, idiot, brute, disgrace etc etc and German owned newspaper started to imply he was a pimp, based on anonymous sources.

      It was so bad 15% of progressive left’s Zandberg voters supported him and many more just stayed home…

      I see that he is already called pro-russian – he is so staunchly Putinist that Russia put him on wanted list for toppling communist statues…

      What an absolute embarrassment for Poland. Just to be clear, he was placed there by the Polish wing of the Global Mafia Elite, PiS under the direction of their leadership which comprises Putin amongst others. These people are a treasonous virus for Poland and other countries they have infected such as the US, UK etc.
