Ich habe gerade die Wettervorhersage in Reykjavik gesehen. Wie lebt es an einem so kalten Ort? Diese Temperaturen in meiner Region sind im Winter typisch. Betrachten die Leute dieses T -Shirt -Wetter?

yes, we consider a rainy day t-shirt weather. that’s exactly what we do.

    2. This the main reason I moved away; not the cold winters but the cold and sometimes nonexistent summers

I do believe Reykjavík is the coldest capitol during its hottest month.

      Nah, this is raincoat weather.

We get maybe 2 weeks of proper (15+ degrees and sunny) summer every year.

Then we get maybe 2 weeks of -6 degree or colder weather in winter.

90% of the year it’s windy, wet and chilly, 6-12°C

There are clothes for every season, you put them on and go about your day. Weather is only really a problem when it gets super windy and your garden furniture decides to visit the next street.

Also, 12°C is not cold. If your shoelaces and nasal hairs don’t freeze solid, it’s not cold.

This life is the North Atlantic. It’s just Robert Eggers‘ The Lighthouse all the time.

      [It’s a really cool vibe though.](https://applejuice19.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/giphy-18.gif?w=436&h=364)
