      Trump is freaking out because his *own* base is also pissed about him raping kids.

      I hope that the midterms do something—anything—to undermine Trump. I really like to see a blue wave. I wanted to see a blue wave during the election, but it didn’t come to pass.

      You know I am pretty uncomfortable with the way the conversation is getting tilted into oh it’s the Democrats against Trump with this Epstein thing.

      That’s….gross? Like, really goddamn wrong? Completely dismissive of the actual victims, and the severity of the crime, and that it’s not „Democrats“ going after Trump on this it’s basically all of humanity who are not pedophiles or pedophile collaborators…?!!

      I know no one listens to me but it is EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE AND WRONG TO ENGAGE IN THIS DISCUSSION AS IF IT’S ABOUT POLITICS and the damn Democrats aren’t driving the conversation anyway that would be all the people who aren’t cool with sex trafficking barely pubescent girls.

      I’d vote for a flea ridden raccoon carcass instead of Trump but the democrats are once again reacting to news vs figuring out how to create it as the republicans have.

      Don’t listen to Republicans that think insulting Trump will make the democrats lose more. Trump has said the most vile obnoxious things and won the 2024 election. Fuck Donald Trump and his hardcore fans!

      Democrats have finally stumbled into the obvious. This has been Bernie’s mantra for years as well. Democrats are so obtuse and rather crunchy in their logic. They need to stop with genteel and outdated political antics and get a bulldog to forge ahead and challenge Cheeto at every turn. With the Cheeto’s thin skin and narcissism, how hard can it be for a prominent Democrat to troll him mercilessly and for laughs. (Newsom seems to be slipping into this role somewhat). His administration is the theater of the absurd “bigly.” If Medvedev can get such a rise out of him, the political opposition should be working the same strings as well.

      Voting a dog in was needed last election although Harris would have been more than enough. Which also says a lot about voters. We would’ve at least had someone to preserve our democracy. People chose the autocratic route. Last election was about safeguarding our democracy with anyone against trump destroying it. All people could see was a white rich man over a woman of color when keeping our democracy was what the election was all about. Voters cut off their nose to spite their faces.

      The message is simple. Trump said he would do this, and he did not. Not only that, but he lied. That has and will always be the effective message.

      There are so many missed opportunities by Democrats. They should have goaded him being scared because he wouldnt do another debate.

      No one is freaking out. Shit. Republicans are either going to change how elections work so they cannot be removed or gerrymander however they want and no one will do anything. No one. Not scotus no one. It’s doesn’t matter what trump is found to have done it literally won’t change anything. This whole administration is literally taking how hitler came to power and America voted for it

      Waiting for Democrats to „figure out their messaging“ is an incredibly weak and ineffectual way for us as a people to respond to a consolidating dictatorship. The Dems — and electoral politics in general — are not the pathway out of this mess.

      I’m not sure what can catalyze us to action, but without mass civil disobedience and a real demonstration of our enormous collective power, the USA is going to continue its spiral into authoritarianism.

      Sadly I can’t see what the trigger will be, short of an economic crisis that inhibits most people from affording food and housing. Perhaps that’s coming…
