It’s about time people stopped listening to what Daltrey has to say. He’s pissed off that it’s difficult for artists to tour in Europe yet he advocated for Brexit.

I get where Roger is coming from but if I paid my dues playing with a band *for decades* I would hate to still be seen as a replaceable „session player.“ Zak would never be a core member of The Who but at the same time I think he earned his keep as a recognized member of the band.

I can’t read the article, but that’s a terrible and disrespectful knock on session players. He should be ashamed. I’d rather listen to session players who can play all different styles of music than hear him sing „My Generation“ for the 10,000th time.

Putting down session players/touring musicians is pretty silly as the Who has used many, many touring musicians. Those keys don’t play themselves.

Any other updates on musicians who haven’t been relevant for half a century?

    5. if Roger was trying to be insulting … he did a poor job.

“session players” are some the the greatest musicians in the world… legit monsters.

    6. Glen Campbell was a session player. His squad kicked so much ass that they came to be known as the Wrecking Crew.

      Session players are badass motherfuckers.

    7. What a dick. Zak was with the band for 29 years, which is more than twice as long as Keith Moon was there.
