Ah, it’s such a beautiful and calming feeling to watch the lights. Just relaxing and watching for hours and not thinking about anything. I can only recommend it to anyone, it’s always worth a trip

Agreed! All the best northern lights I’ve seen has been in September and October.

Probably because I spend more time outside in the evening in those months than I do in winter, but still. There are people in this group who keep saying September is too early and they are plain wrong.

There was high activity of aurora last year so I am not surprised it could be so good.
A thing to note for people going is that colors are usully not as bright and clear as OPs picture. They are also typically less clear with your eyes than a camera.

    4. I have seen northern lights as early as late August (if my memory serves me right, I live in Lofoten), but the most spectacular northern lights have been at around November – February, in my experience.

    5. The best I’ve seen were on New Year’s Eve. Far better than the fireworks.

    6. Wen house swap?? 😁 honestly, seeing this, especially when there are more colours, would be a dream come true!! Beautiful!
