Tldr: The neurological condition in question was ‚Basilar artery migraine‘, better known as ‚migraine with brainstem aura‘.
It starts in the lower part of the brain called the ‚brainstem‘, and causes temporary symptoms like dizziness, vertigo (feeling like the room is spinning), double vision, slurred speech, trouble hearing, confusion, and loss of muscle control, usually before the headache begins.
