Uusschaffe!
The rule is ridiculous to begin with. How on earth are you going to enforce that? Do you ask every user who wants to post for a residence permit first?
Aazeig isch dusse!
Bewirb di doch als Mod und denne derfsch di selber engagiere!
Are there any mods ?
I checked the last posts and I don’t see the problem. Definitely not half of the posts. Can you link to some?
r/schwiiz, r/BUENZLI etc.
De sub isch vo amis befalle, leider hend di schwiizerdütsche kei frankophone oder tessiner, aber isch trotzdem di best alternative
I don’t think it’d be a good thing to enforce this rule too much when the tagline literally is „All things Switzerland“. Many topics discussed here are for sure also relevant and interesting for non-Swiss residents.
I think those rules apply for posts in r/Switzerland, not for comments.
Posts from non-swiss seem to get removed very often.
Honestly…cope.
Im not a resident but visiting Switzerland yearly for holidays for 3-4 months. So more than one quarter of the year I spend in Switzerland. I see no issue in being here
I just genuinely interest myself in the news, discussions, sometimes cultural things etc. Just someone from abroad who travels to CH quite often, tries to follow all your specific rules and just enjoy and learn about how’s life and things there. Afaik this is for me the only way to get close to current topics and read various opinions, very rarely I leave a comment or toss some Maloney-like joke. Don’t worry, I’m not going to move in to spoil your country (no sarcasm).
Tldr: I missed these rules, admit that. Feel free to fire me from here, I’m used to it. I’d be really sad, but that’s life. Greets from Prague.
… ächt jetzt?!
Chiedi ghe l’è el tirabuscion e el zechiboy, e poi ta vidi che l’è mia de chi
I lived in CH for two years and have many Swiss friends and care a lot about the country as I do anywhere I’ve spent a significant portion of my life.
As others have said, this is a ridiculous rule in the first place. You can’t enforce that realistically.
I have been visiting Switzerland since 2023 and I will for sure come again this year in december.
I like to come here to learn about the culture and the whole country
Tbh, no idea how mods could deny my presence here without ban
Have you considered applying to SBB for a job enforcing their ticketing rules? Something tells me you’re exactly the kind of personality they look for.
You know there are prospective residents or recent residents with question or opinions about Switzerland.
Fascist 😉
Btw, many of the foreigners commenting are Swiss residents.
And you do realize mods are unpaid volunteers?
No one reads these rules.
I m swiss but not resident in switzerland ! I m not allowed to speak about OLTEN !!!
Because it’s a ridiculous rule that can’t be enforced.
And white millionaires only please
So mods aren’t robots that know everything and are constantly online. Report posts that causes problems and they usually get removed once they have the time.
Because we are so international
Half of the people in Basel are from Germany and France, it’s not N Korea
Imho the problem is the international name.
It lures everyone into this sub.
A better name for a „locals only“-sub would be r/ch or r/schwiiz
It’s a bit unfortunate, that the sub with the international name wants to remain „privat“. Thats a „Sollbruchstelle“ long term, to occupy the international name, but want to enforce a locals only policy. My proposals (r/ch or r/schwiiz) would make the definition more obvious.
Of course I know my fellow Switzerland citizens well enough to understand immediately that that won’t never happen.
The better solution is of course to complain about the foreigners who don’t follow the rules.
The rule is for posts, not comments.
Lots of posts are removed for this reason.
The channels name ist reference to Switzland = r/switzerland. I. e. if that name should be self explaning it means the posts have to do with Switzerland.
Why only residents? I’m a citizen but not a resident.
Surely I too should be allowed to read all the important posts, like the ones from people wanting to move there without having to learn a language.
