Tourists will need damn good reason to visit the place with cosmic hotel / apartment prices, unreliable public transport and random weather
Honestly I’m disappointed this isn’t about Smyths on Jervis Street
It has already lost much of its unique culture.
Every Irush city is becoming a bland streetscape of ugly glass boxes, beige apartments, vape and mobile shops, UK and US multis… could be any city anywhere.
We have a shortage of housing. No shortage of pubs. This is just NIMBY talk from people who don’t want apartments near their houses.
