If LM could, they would have sold those weapons to the US Army years ago.

Lots of parents exist….doesn’t always mean they have them in production.
That being said have done a deep dive on direct energy weapons, and they do exist and do have them already. The problem is that’s a very broad term that also includes any laser weaponry. Which they’ve fitted to humvees and ships years ago.
They’re currently on trying to scale them down to more manageable sizes, they tend to take a fuck ton of energy and weigh a lot
I have a good hunch they also have compact cold fusion reactors. I work in aerospace and we’ve been receiving more magnets with interesting geometry for what I believe to be superconductors, than I’ve ever seen in all my years of working there. They went dark on updating the project a while back and I think they figured it out and the government is hiding it.
