But that doesn’t mean I want to see Dems voting for his unqualified nominees. Or seeing a bunch of Democratic senators taking pictures with War Criminal Benjamin Netanyahu.

That’s exact what happened back in Germany 1930s. The „smart people“ back then are like „let this crazy guy do his own thing and people gonna realize how crazy he is, and we will win in a landslide in the next election“.
Well of course we all know how these smart people ended up, and democrats are also thinking they are the smartest people right now.
Democrats have got to be more agnostic toward Israel. It’s killing the party, and hurting America. It’s not about antisemitism, it’s about policy toward the Israeli government.

We’ve watched their ineffectual behavior lead to an autocrat in power, a Court full of religious extremists, and a Congress so rigged against the voters and chock-full of conspiracy nuts that we’re losing our democracy. We may have lost it already.

People are just now figuring this out? I’m 58 years old and I’ve never seen the democrats have any balls about anything. One of the worst things about republicans (I don’t have time to list them all) is they force me to vote for democrats.
They are complicit. It’s the only logical conclusion.
The old guard Dems are Robert the Bruce in Braveheart. They are happy to sell out to save themselves and more than happy to take the credit when things go the other way and pretend they were always virtuous.

I hate to say it, but for the Democrats, being a pushover/pussy is kind of „on brand“.
They’ve sold the idea everyone in the party that shrill indignation and constant pearl-clutching is an effective strategy against militant fascism. It isn’t. Constantly being outraged and reacting by sending strongly-worded letters that clearly state your displeasure to the offenders just reinforces the image of weakness and impotence.
The Democratic Party is weak and ineffective. That is a fact.
Those same people probably think Democrats have majorities in house and senate.

Because congressional Dems also stand to gain whenever Trump crashes the stock market. We’re ruled by the ultra-donor class, and it isn’t just politics — look at non-profits orgs, universities, etc.
It feels like Dems are just paid opposition to this point.
Rolling over? They’re just a more ineffective version of the Republican party. The only solace is that they don’t have a Donald J. Trump threatening global security for ALL governments with his loonacy and idiocy.
Democrats should ALL be talking about (among other things, obviously) the Trump coffee tax, and the Trump banana tax, etc. for every single thing that just got more expensive for Americans, thanks entirely to Trump’s tariff lunacy. But even about Epstein, and Gaza, and so many other truly important priorities, they just seem to be largely *absent*. The Democrats (not all, but way too many) keep waiting for Republicans to lose instead of *beating* them.
When all the establishment fight for is their own wallets why are we surprised they have weak convictions
“Weak and ineffective” is their middle name. We have the moral and ethical high ground, the majority of the voters, and the goodwill to make the changes everyone needs, and we still allow the right to walk all over us. The right has never won a single thing in this country, the left just keeps losing, be it on purpose or for sheer incompetence.
I’ve been brigade downvoted and banned on liberal forums for saying just this. It’s too bad the liberal leadership is just of bunch of cowards. To quote Hillary: when they follow we go high.

Unfortunately change has to start locally. Help get motivated qualified people to run. Encourage good local candidates to do more and rise up the ranks. The Dems incompetence issue isn’t going away any time soon.
Said it before, I’ll say it again: they’re bribed by the same wealthy people that bribed the Republicans. They have no motivation to go against what their actual bosses want.
TO the dems, I’d point at Gavin Newsom and say „Be that guy!!!“
We need a new party that is FREE from billionaires, corporations, and Israel’s influence.
I know this sub doesn’t want to hear that but it has to happen. We can’t go back to what we had before—being a controlled opposition.
We can’t just settle for a party that embraces fascism, apartheid, and genocide. It can’t happen again, or what do you even stand for in this world?
Fix the billionaire problem. Get money out of politics. Strengthen anti-trust laws and enforcement. Focus on free and fair markets, clean drinking water, and affordable public transportation. And Free Palestine.
Plenty of congressional Dems are corporate buys that would have been red if their donors thought their election chances would be better.
Plenty of appointed Dems are far too old fashioned in respecting traditions and seniority when their opponent is throwing out the Monopoly rule book and while they steal openly from the bank and giggle.
Lifelong Democratic voter. I don’t plan on changing that in the near future. I am disappointed in the head of the DNC, but that disappointment comes from the loss of potential I see.
Local and state level Democrats give me hope. If you look at who’s trying to keep the wheels turning while the current administration is filling the gas tank with sugar, it’s at the local level. That’s where the passion still is that we had when Obama was elected, twice, against two of the GOPs absolute power house candidates. That’s where the hope for someone like Bernie still is.
This is very much a management issue, not staff.
Well when you’re paid to roll over it’s easier.
The ones still working with, accommodating, and compromising aren’t rolling over. They’re complicit. Bought and paid for by the same masters.
