I’m 28 and emigrated to London a couple years ago. Despite doing everything “right” on paper…Degree, masters, “high paying job” etc. I felt like I was getting nowhere economically or regarding building a future.
When I think back to the Celtic tiger madness, 24 year old teachers being called by the banks asking them if they’ve considered a second mortgage for a holiday home abroad. What a turn from then. My generation have had the rug pulled out completely.
