Do they want to make the US vulnerable to a nuclear attack?

Do you really think it’s a good idea to give the nuclear button to a congress where members on both the left and right openly support dictatorships, some of which have nuclear weapons that threaten the US?

Why is it that disarmament and measures like this somehow always manage to end up weakening western powers ability to protect themselves and their allies? The only countries which’d ever even entertain this are western liberal democracies. Do you really want to live in a world where the countries least likely to use nukes aggressively are the ones with the least ability to retaliate against the aggressive use of nukes?
