    1. I think she’s got it backwards. I think everyone, including the GOP is done with her.

Looks like Elon found his first American Party Rep.

There will certainly be an “off ramp” for after Trump.

You’ll be seeing people trying to find it in the next couple of years.

    4. Greedy_Switch_6991 on

Sounds more or less like she’s a „true believer“ in the MAGA cause, and the rest of the party is just going along with it to save their election prospects (and hopefully get rich, too). Notice how she steers clear of criticism of the Orange Man.

      > “I think there’s other women in our party that are really sick and tired of the way men treat Republican women,” Greene added. “I think there’s other women, Republican women, and I’m just giving my opinion here, who are really sick and tired of them.”

JFC. Mouth-breathing Marge finally feels the effects of a political culture of rampant misogyny.

      >As evidence of this, she cited a lack of party support on a number of moves she’s made in recent months, adding she feels “I’m going alone right now on the issues that I’m speaking about.”

      >Greene has indeed been busy since the start of the current House session, spearheading efforts on such burning questions of national interest as renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America,” introducing legislation to make English the official language, defunding NPR and PBS, and criminalizing “deadly” weather manipulation.

„Done“ and then continues to support them.

Always some bullshit with some virtue signaling sprinkled in.

Listen she’s still racist, she’s still crazy, she still hates poor people, and other women. This is not some weird dollar-store Ebenezer Scrooge story. It’s just that she’s finally wised up to the fact that those kids in that club that she thinks is *just so cool*? They hate her too.

MTG also has said thigs about Jewish Space Lasers; are wee suddenly going to start taking her seriously NOW?

    10. Mindless-Pogram on

These weird politics make strange bedfellows of us all.

You’d hope MTG turning on the GOP would signal the end of MAGA, but rather it is actually pointing to them turning even more toward authoritarianism.

And crucially she’s not openly speaking out against Trump.

So what it means is actually *more* about the evolution of the GOP into ~~National Socialism~~ Trumpism.

Good, maybe she should get out of politics all together. Heard they’re looking for new management at her local Chili’s.

Though I’m not sure she will be interested, lack of insider trading and all…

      Check the donor list.

      This is all performative.

You don’t take $30M from someone and then claim you no longer need it.

I’d like to believe this a reverse Kyrsten Sinema situation but tbh I don’t think I’d want her on the democrat side of the aisle.

    14. Until it comes time to vote, then she’ll fall in line just like the rest of those complicit cowards.

    15. Well she sure as hell can’t run as a Democrat. We’re too smart to elect someone that has obvious brain damage.

    16. ThePhantomStrikes on

Will she convince other gop women of that. Is the first us party gonna be far right women? I keep reading headlines about the young white conservative girls trying to have a movement. Oh dear.

    17. Someone stopped paying her and now she’s going rogue, it is the only explanation – this is not a moral choice on her part, this is not someone that has seen the error in their ways and adjusted their behavior.

    18. disposable_account01 on

I mean, ideally we would have 4-5 parties in this country: far left, left, center, right, and far right. And they would all only be allowed to fund their campaigns through public funding. That’s it.

And we would have ranked choice voting, and expanded congress and proportionate senate.

      And gerrymandering banned.

      And mandatory voting.

And election *week* not election *day*.

But we don’t have any of that, so we won’t get any *more* than that. Because corruption.

    19. IntellectAndEnergy on

She’s not defending rapists and child molesters, and at this moment it makes her better than most. That is the situation; I am merely the messenger.

    20. These conservative women do this and act like everyone doesn’t see through the act, Candace Owens and Megyn Kelly tried the same thing. You can’t spout crazy and expect normal people to go, yeah you are decent now

Did they replace the carbon dioxide detectors in her house or something?

    22. Not for the first time in the past decade I ask, have I accidentally stepped into Bizarro World?

    23. Whatever801 on

MTG has bat-shit crazy beliefs and is dangerously miseducated on a wide variety of topics. However, she does seem to stand up for those beliefs unlike the vast majority of politicians.

    24. BotherResponsible378 on

MTG trying to create distance between her and Trump without having to directly do it.

Epstein is hopefully going to break that party, and ideally force it to become an actual competitor.

      At least I hope.

    25. Switching sides before the house of cards fall should not excuse her actions over the yrs!! No pass in my book!

    26. HectorsMascara on

I greatly dislike this woman, but if she’s willing to advocate for sex-trade/trafficking victims, she’s actually a welcome breath of fresh air to me. Feels like almost all carbon monoxide these days.

    27. More like now that Trump is back in office, she isn’t getting the „outrage publicity“ she was getting for the last 4 years.

    28. Can we please stop posting paywalled articles without also including either the context of what was written or a link to the archived article?

Don’t trust her. I see a few Republican types trying to switch party to Democrat to vote for the Republican agenda.
I think democrats should infiltrate the Republican Party to vote democrat.
