By that logic, Peter Cherif is a „hostage“ of France.
Unfortunately he’s not the only one conflating convicted terrorists caught in the act with civilian hostages taken from their homes across borders.
The brain rot in the west is too real.
I don’t even care about the claim, but I do find the rhetorical shift from him on the middle east over these 2 years interesting.
We know he’s trying to take a leadership role in Europe and kinda succesfully as well, so him going from soft/hard Israel support to pretty loudly criticizing them is pretty important.

I mean yeah, there are Palestinians being held hostage by Israel right now (“hostage” here meaning taken from one’s home and held in detention without being charged/convicted of a crime), and there is evidence of systemic sexual abuse taking place against them. This is a completely apt comparison.

The comparison is fair. Israel, a supposed democracy, detains Palestinian children in military prisons. Netanyahu’s government are in mind like Hamas, but outwardly present themselves in fine suits.
He knows no shame.
