I have some video of the little girl (it’s a female, the Merlin is the smallest bird of prey in Finland) washing herself in a puddle after the thunderstorm. This is one frame of the video a few seconds before she flew off. She sat on my solar panel array tending to her feathers and drying out in the sun.
