      I want something else from you, so I’m going to say I’m buying something you’re trying to sell but won’t be delivered for several years. I get the other thing, but I never wanted to buy anything. I just had to say I would. But now every time I want something, I just say I’m going to cancel the order.

      The US didn’t offer India to buy them. It’s a privilege, not a right, to have the absolute most cutting edge technology.

      Lol it’s kind of hilarious that it’s being framed that way. I don’t think they were even offered the opportunity to buy them. Turkey lost that chance when they got s400 Sam’s . I don’t think India could buy them even if they wanted to. Pretty sure that’s why they’re leaning hard on trying to develop a new fighter jet domestically which may work, but they’re having pretty serious issues trying to get reliable engines.

      India has no choice. They need cheap energy for their transformation and to lift hundreds of millions of people out of poverty.

      That‘s the truth and grim reality when it comes to climate change.

      India wouldn’t buy F35, USA won’t let India have source code of F35 like which only USA and Israel has … so every mission Indian F35 wants to take, it would be leaked to the USA before Indian f35 even leaves the ground

      You treat major trading partner like a jerk prepare you will be treated like jerk in return and India can make it pretty difficult.

      I don’t think we were offered any F35s to buy in the first place, even though I would love India having few of them because of our „friendly“ neighbors.

      India has no intention to buy the F-35 to begin with.

      They want technology transfer to develop their own 5th generation fighter jet. In the entire world only Israel has a partial transfer, to develop their own upgrades and maintenance programs. There is zero chance for India to get it.

      We will see if he really is any good at making deals. This is where he should come back with “well I guess we’ll have to let all our other buyers know we have them available”. Call their bluff.
