Why do people want to reward a terrorist organisation with a state?
There are still hostages in Gaza and other than a short sentence of „sympathy“ we don’t hear jack shit about it from these leaders.
What’s next, ISIS gets recognised as a sovereign country for what they did to the Yazidis?

Good. The only way forward is an end to the violence and an end to the ethnic cleansing. The more international pressure on Israel the better.

It’s so bizarre how these Western countries are calling for a ceasefire and release of hostages on one hand but trying to prevent it on the other.
Whether Palestine should become a state should be based on the merits of its ability to be governed independently and autonomously.
I don’t see how anyone can reasonably look at the Palestinian Authority today and say they are ready to be a State.
It’s clear that these moves are more about trying to punish Israel than they are about actually helping Palestinians.

Bear in mind please, no matter your stance on the subject of Palestinian statehood, that this is Portugal „considering“ something. Portugal’s capacity for extended deliberation is not to be underestimated, and any actual decision or action might take a while.

Nothing better than encouraging more global terrorism.
